Free draining and washed material that is screened to a 3/8" max grain size.
Applications: Vapor Barrier Cover & Blotter material, pipe bedding, base for laying brick and pavers, recreation (beach, sand box, volleyball court), concrete mix constituent and landscaping.
A crushed and graded sand and gravel mix which has max grain size of 1." This product has “binder” in it for shear strength. % passing a # 200 sieve ranges from 5%-12%.
Applications: Structural/Engineered Fill beneath foundations, roadways, parking lots, driveways, and oil well location gravel.
A crushed and ”Well Graded” sand and gravel mix which has max grain size of 1." This product has “binder” in it for shear strength. % passing a # 200 sieve ranges from 5%-12%. Class 13 is more coarse than Class 5 (more rock grains).
Applications: Leveling coarse or grading coarse (for final grade) beneath roadways, parking lots, driveways, concrete slabs, foundations, and oil well location gravel. The small max grain size allows for precise grading.
Railroad Ballast Rock
Non-graded, single grain sized rock used for railroad construction and maintenance. Conveyabull has ballast rock ranging from 1.5" -3" to meet your specifications.
A “poorly graded” natural sand and gravel mix with a max grain size up to 12". The poor distribution and large varied max grain sizes reduces compaction and density. The % passing a # 200 sieve varies between 5%-12%.
Applications: Low shear strength and low bearing capacity structural fill. Can also be used for general fill or temporary roads.
3/8-Inch Pea Gravel
A “well graded” washed natural rock that has a max grain size of 3/8". This rock achieves the highest in situ compaction as it is virtually self consolidating.
Applications: concrete slab base material, drainage systems, pipe bedding, rural driveway overlay, foundation structural fill (when isolated from native soils) and free draining backfill.
A “well graded,” washed and free draining rock which has a max grain size of either ¾" or 1". The complete grain distribution from the max grain size down to 3/8" allows for optimal compaction and ease of placement. This product is washed, thus it does NOT have residual “fine” soil particles that can clog drain systems.
Applications: concrete slab base material, drainage systems, pipe bedding, rural driveway overlay, foundation structural fill (when isolated from native soils),free draining backfill and concrete mix constituent.
A “poorly graded” crushed rock that is screened to a 1"-2" grain size. This rock has a uniform grain size (all grains are the same size) which allows for rapid water travel through the large voids between grains. This rock is not washed thus, “fine” soil particles on the rock grains may clog sensitive drain systems.
Applications: drainage systems, rural driveway and parking lot overlay and landfill drainage layer.
Generic = 1.5" washed natural round rock that has a uniform grain size.
Applications: landscape rock beds, roof drain rock and drain systems.
Specialty: we supply a large range of unique decorative rock in varied sizes, colors and shapes.
A “poorly graded” natural, unwashed sand that is screened to 3/8". This product is NOT recommended to support concrete slabs, foundations or any other structural applications.
Applications: non structural, granular backfill and pipe bedding.
A lightweight rock that has minimal bearing capacity, erosion resistance and moisture resistance. Scoria Rock's popularity in Eastern Montana and Western North Dakota is fueled by its widespread availability. Scoria rock is supplied in 5 size categories: 6" minus pit run, 3" minus, 1.5" minus, 1" minus and crusher fines.
Applications: Scoria Rock is most commonly used for oil field well locations and rural roads. Scoria crusher fines are used for reclamation. Scoria is NOT recommended for concrete slab or foundation support.
Organic soil that can be supplied in two states: low cost (unscreened) and premium (screened to 1" max grain size). Composition varies by region. Most organic soils are a silty sand with a small percentage of clay. We can provide compost/topsoil blends to engineered specifications.
Applications: sod & grass organic medium, non-structural land shaping, road side reclamation and berms.
Organic matter that is general produced by blending and curing of carbon (usually from wood chips, sawdust, grass clippings), nitrogen (usually from horse, cow or pig manure) and water. Once the compost blend is cured, it is screened down to 3/8"-3/4" max grain size. The C/N ratio (carbon/nitrogen) is the common metric used to determine if the compost is suitable for a certain application.
Applications: Compost is used as a fertilizer and soil conditioner for grass and other vegetative areas.
We supply a wide breadth of materials ranging from wood chips to fill soil. Please contact us for ALL of your material needs and concerns.
All of our products are tested. Test results are available upon request. We also, provide field consulting to help you select the optimal material(s) for your project that meet specifications and your budget.
